?????? Who's got the scoop?

First, Kevin Clay leaves the Point, then Jennifer and Eric leave the morning show, then Dennis Allen leaves the station, then Beaker Street is dropped, then Sharpe is let go and Mike Kennedy is moved to afternoons. What is the management trying to do with all these changes? I think Ashley King does a good job in the morning, but I can't see management not eventually finding a co-host for her morning show? Here is an interesting question..............do you think having two female DJs in the morning would work? Or would it work better to have a male be her co-host?

Keep in mind that most of those changes were not voluntary by the individuals involved. Most - if not all - were let go for one reason or another - mostly cost cutting I suspect. Jennifer and Eric, Dennis Allen, and Beaker Street were definitely cost cutting. Don't know for sure about the other two.
If The Point is dealing with a financial situation, I'll be surprised of they add a co-host in the mornings anytime soon. I don't see two females in the morning working unless they are trying to attract predominently female listeners. I think you would lose the males and teenagers. If they add anyone, I think it will be a male.
I still wonder from time to time if a format change is in the future. Even though they are the only classic rock station in town, if the format is not generating advertising dollars, they might try something else.

I don't see any major changes, since The Point is the "only game in town" and Classic Rock by its sheer built-in audience (boomers and rural rock listeners) will coast along for another decade. Its rock comfort food, and not subject to the fickle changes in trends as an Indie Rock station (which there are none in Little Rock) would endure. But like the audience for previously popular Standards, and Oldies formats, the Classic Rock listeners are aging and will in the long-term age out of certain advertising demos.
