"91X VP/Programming, Kevin Stapleford, announced today the addition of two Alternative radio veterans to his airstaff and programming team.

"Marco Collins will join 91X as Music Director and Afternoon Drive Personality. Collins will work with Stapleford in adjusting the 91X music flow and bringing the station back to its legendary stature. In addition, Stephen Kallao has been appointed the Creative Director and Night Time Personality position, where he will oversee 91X’s on-air message and strategic positioning and production."

Should be interesting to hear what his plans are for the sound of 91X. He started Loudspeaker there in the 1980s. Worked at The End in Seattle. And at VH1 playing Van Halen with David Lee Roth as lead (not what it stands for.)<P ID="signature">______________

I'm on their "mailing list" and today's e-mail teased about what is coming next. When they finish off the A to Z playlist in their library Monday at 4 pm.

He's hinting, not so subtly, that he thinks Mike Halloran might go back to The X.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. 91X was never so good as when Halloran was there. And he may be the best PD I ever worked with - chaotic, manic, but always creative and always tuned in.
