I noticed on the radio at 87.7, the signal for WLFM-LP is now stronger than the past. The stereo light is now lit up. And, the mostly English-language 'MTV Tres' is now gone, replaced with different Spanish-language programming.
I do not remember any stereo light for for WITI Milwaukee (Channel 6), at 87.7, which I used to pull-in until the low-power TV station from Chicago went on the air.
The FCC website doesn't even list that the station is on the air. If you look it up, the FCC indicates only a Construction Permit and Applications for Channel 6, and they still show that the former channel (Channel 55) is licensed.
According to the FCC's map, the signal of this low power TV station does not reach the city of license (Rochelle, Illinois) which is about 75 miles west of Chicago.
Map for Channel 55 (former channel number):

Map for Channel 6 (Construction Permit and Application, which is actually on the air now):

I thought the requirement is that a station must cover it's city of license? Why the change from Channel 55 to 6? Is there a large Spanish-speaking population in Rochelle, Illinois?
