How good was it to hear Harry Kalas call the final out? I'm glad he got the spotlight on Fox after the game.

I was driving and listening to the game on XM and the ESPN feed. I like the Sunday Night Baseball guys but, for the 9th inning I did switch the XM to the WPHT feed (it's nice to hear the broadcast without the AM static) to hear Harry the K call the last out.

Fox did the same with the NLCS clinching call a week ago, too.

Kalas is truly a living legend, and while nobody certainly looks forward to him hanging up his mic for good, one must wonder if this could give him an opportunity to pull an Elway, or a Strahan, or a Seinfeld... i.e. "go out on top".

Sadly, it could happen. Kalas could retire to Nebraska. He could be replaced with Franske and Julius May could take Franske's radio spot. LA and Julius May. I like the sound of that.

Anyone watch channel 6's scroll of congratulatory viewer messages last night? One came from Julius.

WIP has been replaying the call all day today. It gave me chills everytime I heard it.

That was the best call I have ever heard.
