The 730ESPN web page says that they are going to be making a big announcement on Monday about a major change at the radio station. Anybody know what's going on over there?

I'll bet an onion sandwich that dennis phillipay shows up to do talk...he loves his sports with tony B

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH!!!!!!!!!

The return of Out of Bounds!?!?!?!?!!???!??!!?

That'd be awesome!!!!!!!!

What is in a hot dog, anyway?

Who owns 730? I wouldn't be surprised if Dennis goes there. Didn't he work at a sports talker before? I'll miss Dennis. Good luck Mr. Phillipe.

Simmons owns 730

He worked at WHBQ, WMC and the Rainman-owned WTCK with Tony prior to Rock 103.

Are they going to make the announcement on another station, so that more than 30 people will hear it?

My hunch: Dennis (maybe with Tony) take 11-1 as Rome goes to 680, where Rome gets the full three hours.

What say you?

What says me?
They have got a .2 in the ratings.
Whomever goes there with their signal limitations wont much matter.
Memphis a big sports town?
Not according to Arbitron.

it will pull a .3 share now. You can really go to the bank with that one.

Well that's at leaset .4 more than they had before. I think their coverage area is more spotty than an 8 year old with chicken pox.

But that's just my opinion.

That's the problem I always had with 93 X. Their signal is too weak to ever be a major player. I contend when they were Solid Rock 92.9, they could have made it, in their old format, with a better signal.

I'm sure that Chris Vernon was pleased that Chris Herrington (a frequent guest on Vernon's show) wrote that story four days before 730ESPN was scheduled to make the announcement. 730 even had a countdown timer on their web page. Oh well, I'm sure more people will learn about it through the Flyer.

Jim Rome was on 680 AM today. Not sure if they are playing all three hours or not. Collin Cowherd was on at 11 am on 730ESPN. I'll be making the switch at lunch to 680 AM. I thought that Jim Rome was full of himself until I listened to a few minutes of Cowherd. His last name is fairly close to what most of his opinions consist of.

OK, so they have Rome, FSR, the Cardinals and UT.

This is a town where local shows dominate; with their stick, why wouldn't they have local shows? If 730 collapses, wouldn't it make sense to move their local shows to 680?
