Saw this on allaccess.com. What does this mean for the Top 40 war in Savannah?

Alan Exits WEAV, Francis Named Interim PD
CHRIS ALAN has exited CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 (97.3 KISS FM)/SAVANNAH and is looking for his next opportunity. RUSS FRANCIS has been named Interim PD at the station.

Thought Russ was the PD already and I thought Kiss was WAEV and not WEAV thats why I passed that article in allaccess thinking it was another station

KISSFM is WAEV. All Access goofed.

As far as changes to the station, I don't know. I will say this - Russ has been there since the beginning in 2002, worked his way up from overnights to APD/MD/middays. I would imagine he has a pretty good shot at the permanent gig. Then again, I'm not in the building am I?

I'll also be interested to see what happens with the wide-open airshift.

Not surprisingly, All Access broke the news today that Russ has been upped to the PD gig on a permanent basis. Congrats are in order for him - the station has been sounding hot lately (new imaging definitely helps in that regard) and I'm interested to see what's coming next. There wasn't any mention of airstaff changes, so I'm not sure whether or not Kramer and T-Lovely are permanently in PM Drive and Nights, respectively.

What changes could Z102 make? They've done everything under the sun to try to make the format work on that station; it's failed horribly. Time to spin the format wheel.
