Change at WNRP-1620?

Humm.. does this mean we may have a coast to coast am affiliate that we can actually hear?

I enjoy that show but the only true way of hearing it is on 93.7 as mexican crap covers the band. Even on so called "local" stations.

For one thing, WCOA has coast to coast. For another thing WCOA's signal at night is stronger than WNRP's. And Finally, they can't just GET coast to coast, when it's already on another station it's not quite that easy.

Here's their schedual from www.am1620radio.com
5:00am - 9:00am Bubba Up With T. Bubba and Tarsha
9:00am - 11:00am Real Talk About Real Life w/ Wendi Summers
11:00am - 1:00pm Your Tour Guide to Inside Pensacola w/ Larry Butler
1:00pm - 2:00pm Inside Your Head Radio w/ Rick Outzen
2:00pm - 5:00pm Stimulating Talk About Today's News w/ Marty Stanovich
5:00pm - 5:30pm WEAR TV3 News
5:30pm - 10:00pm Sports Night
10:00pm - 11:00pm WEAR TV3 News
11:00pm - 2:00am Dennis Miller
2:00am - 5:00am Midnight Radio Network

It looks like the station is also still doing a great deal of local sports hosted by Paul Chestnutt (Who in my opinion is terrible)

Anyone know what happened to Arty Goodman? I know he used to do sports for them and was actually pretty good.

I miss the Classic Country :(

Since they adopted the calls WNRP (NewsRadio Pensacola?) before they signed on, could the last two years be considered a stunt?

Can Pensacola support 4 news/talk stations?
WPNN 790 (news only)
WEBY 1330
WCOA 1370
WNRP 1620
plus NPR on 88.1

It's a sad sad day....

Some of these show titles are laughable. "Stimulating Talk About Today's News"? "What's Right About Sports in Pensacola"? These shows must be brokered...

Don't forget 98.1 (which can be heard in pensacola)
Sorry but we do need a clear talk radio station here in nowheres ville.

Radio Locator says that 1260 i'm in the ground even at night.. my radio says NO.

On my little sony walkman in Alabama, I can pick up that coast to coast freakshow on 8 blowtorches: 840, 870, 890, 1100, 1110, 1190, 1200, 1510. I know I'm forgetting some. It's like back in 3 channel TV days when the president's on, he's on every channel, your night's shot. I know it's popular, just a little out there for me.

870 is annoying because of RR's ID every minute. Why they ID every minute in CW is beyond me
