Change LV Radio for the better

I love how Chuck the bassett Geiger names pretty much every radio personality in the LV, LOL....some of who he hired..ummm....If they are that bad why in God's name would you hire them in the first place!? I'm guessing you're just still bitter about getting let go...I would be too I guess but you really need to concentrate on your job and not spend the work day on these boards or you may find yourself in the same boat you were in in Allentown...a sinking one. Thank god I'm out of this profession. (my choice for the record, lol.) But come on dude...let it go. It was long ago...you moved on...just accept it. You'll sleep better at night.
 
i doubt he'll sleep better.. he's doin the same things and expecting different results.. i believe Einstein called that the definition of insanity. but since this market has a history of firing #1 radio personalities and trying to cut costs.. it seems to be there is a lot of that insanity going on. the brilliance is baffling lol.

I mean Kudo's for putting up the deflective post about how it's not you but come on buddy...the people who know you know that nickname is 'your thing' when you were here so you can say you're not Buck you all you want to, we know it's you. Good luck with you Lawsuit...or Lawsuit's I guess could be a good possibility by now. You can't even keep you mouth shut on message boards let alone in front of people of the opposite sex! You're on your way...maybe you will indeed return to the LV for another run that will last a year or so just like K and K. You really are their monkey, as Stosh said! LOL.

The only difference with the WCTO of then and now, they are number one and no one has to fight or work hard for it. We were fighting for every dollar and rating point to establish the station, I probably induced a not so friendly work enviroment, for that I appoligze. Think about how that station sounded then with everyone's hard work and dedication and how it sounds today. A win is much better when it was fought for. Besides WJT (I still have the champagne cork with the 13.8 on it for Fall 98) - #1 12+, 18-34, 25-54 and 35-64. Sorry if you guys felt slighted, I was trying to make a point about localism, maybe again too over the top. Bassett retires from LV as of now. You folks do have a great radio market, a handful of stations in market #69, great revenue, no local TV, so you don't have to fight w/ TV for ad dollars. Cherish it. We are getting kicked in the head here, we are trying!
 
according to wiki 2006.. abe is the 62nd largest metropolitan market in the US so once again radio's info is outdated in the valley.. and what the numbers don't include is areas like quakertown and pburg which are potentially large pockets of people which american express did a report on and estimated the lehigh valley household at 2million. so once again.. thinkin... were only number 69 market so this is ok.. is ignorance to put it politely... you have so many overlapping markets that have enormous potential yet year after year.. that's all it ever is ... potential. nothing more caus no one has the intelligence to go out and get it... explain to me how we have a growing market yet we have declining market share??? simple.. poor outlook and management.. end of story.
 
Chuck, thanks for finally coming clean. We knew it was you. Sounds like you wish you could "put the band back together". I hate to break it to you. WCTO-FM was #1 12+, #1 18-34, #2 25-54 (missed it by 0.4), and #2 35-64 in the But, then again, today... you don't have to beat up an outdated oldies station. We have the Hawk to compete with today. HAWK is a GREAT sounding station.

So, don't talk about a crew that doesn't work hard.

And, I'm not taking away from that great Fall 1998 debut with a 13+ share. Great job man. You're a good programmer. Awful to work for, but a good programmer. But, the numbers are pretty similar today. And, there is MUCH more competition. HAWK, BONE, LITE, HOLA. And, the Philly stations are sounding better too.

The team on Avenue C is working very hard to build two great radio stations. Great morning shows. Great music. Great promotions.

Been sued lately? Picked up anyone at the Turkey Hill after a remote? Any ARD's? Tried to get your morning show fired behind their backs lately? How are K & K?

Sorry to hear you are getting you ass kicked. Stop dreaming about yesterday. Ya' can't put the band back together.
