Changes At 103.1 and 96.7

A lot of changes are going on at Hits 103.1 and Fox 96.7. I believe the power and coverage of both stations have been increased. On the stations, they are both mentioning each other and saying how they serve the whole tri-state area. The new slogan is "The Best Variety of Today and Yesterday". Looks like Sunrise Broadcasting is really putting a lot of effort into the stations. Also, the new morning show starts soon on Hits 103.1. I'm sure I will add more to this thread.
Edited by radiolover78 on 06/05/05 11:25 PM.

I think it is interesting that you mentioned that they mention each other. I havent payed that close attention. If that's the case, maybe they will work together somehow...especially since the signals are opposite ends of the county.(simulcast maybe??? It seems like a stretch)

Anyone know if they are going to have a new website? No changes on Fox 96.7 & Hits 103.1 sites yet.

It's amazing that they still continue to use ABC Networks for most of their programming, although I understand that the drive home show will now be local with John Roberts (3 to 7 pm). However ABC's Steve Nichols is still on at 10 am & Johnny Wolf (formerly on 2 to 7 pm) has been moved to the 7 pm to midnite spot. I guess they are no longer using ABC's Mary Taleska. Would be nice to have just local talent.

Anyone know if anyone will host overnites? How about weekends? Will it be all local?

I don't know why there just can't be a simulcast of one of the stations. Bob O. is now on in the morning and I know John is the drive time jock. Also, I wish they would just have local jocks too. Mary is now on 12-5am.
______________

Unfortunately Mary Tylaska has to be voicetracked overnites since she is part of ABC Newtwork's morning team with Jonanthan Doll. Just check out ABC's website (www.today'sbesthits.com) and there she is along with Steve Nichols and Johnny Wolf. Give local talent a chance!
