Hey all, longtime lurker, first-time poster.
I'm a Youngstown native who hasn't lived in the area on a consistent basis in a long time (working in the radio industry does that to a person), but likes to keep his finger on the pulse of the NE Ohio/Western PA media scene.
Anyhow, I have a question about something that seems to have flown under the radar both here and at OhioMediaWatch. Last time I was in the area, Carol King (one of the sweetest people in radio I've ever come across; had a chance to work with her in a non-radio project) and Justine Thomas (maybe the best voice, male or female, in the Mahoning Valley) were each employed at BIG 106.1. Well, a quick check of the BIG website, and they are nowhere to be found. A quick check of all the Youngstown CC websites, and they are nowhere to be found.
So, what's the dealio? Simple cutback victims? More to the story than that? Can anyone shed a little light?
