Changes at 106.7

I was listening today and I heard some new sounders. "You party station.", "Every song's a hit, every hit's a memory." (or words to that effect). A hint of things to come, or just another coat varnish?

They are definitely saying their call sign a lot....which doesn't make sense because 'YAY does not represent Atlanta's Greatest Hits. I heard these:

"You've Just Pressed the FUN Button"
"Thanks for Makin' the switch to 1067"
"1067 WYAY A Cumulus Station"

Who is Susan Carr (overnights on WYAY)?

I think that AGH has become the best 60s, 70s, 80s (beats B, river, Journey, Dave) and I just don't know why people don't listen, maybe they are too consumed with the people that need to start speaking English on V103.

BTW, they seem to be playing Billy Joel's "Im Movin Out" A Lot lately. Don't tell me they are pulling a WCBS.

Did WYAY ever stand for anything? I always had the impression that Y106 followed from the calls. WWID I assume was a takeoff on Jacobs' Wide Travel travel agency, and WWLT was set up for the short-lived Lite 106.

WYAY still hasn't cut back on the 60s, which will continue to hurt them IMO.

If Rock 100.5 flips tomorrow, hopefully that will stop the speculation that 106.7 will be flipping. I still don't think it's going anywhere.

Your party station was just for New Years. 106.7 is still doing the oldies.

and 106.7 is great. I think they've got a good thing going. I hope they can pull some numbers, I'd like to see this format stay around.

Their top songs seem to be "You Can Go Your Own Way" or "Margarettaville" followed by
some John Cougar Mellencamp. YAWN!
