Changes at 990 AM - More of the Same

After listening to the Polka Show on 990 AM yesterday afternoon I noticed that 990 AM has dropped Radio Cantico Nuevo in favor of a new Spanish Language Christian Network. (One would assume that either Radio Cantico Nuevo's LMA expired or was terminated). Unfortunately my knowledge of Spanish is limited. I can't understand the station's name, webpage, Facebook Page, or phone number. (I know it's not 621-1750 or 1754). I was also able to understand that the new network is based in Bayshore, Long Island and that the host that was on yesterday afternoon took callers from Hartford, New Britain, and New Haven.

Perhaps there is someone on this board that has more knowledge of the Spanish Language than I do and could possibly come up with a station name and website for me.

They're also doing dual Legal IDs. One en Ingles y one en Espanol.

I don't want this to start another war about whether or not I have an obsession with this radio station. (I do not). I'm only interested in the change as a Radio Nerd from Connecticut (like my tagline says). I'd be equally as interested if I heard this on any other radio station - AM or FM.

Then how come when I do a search of the term "990" on this board, over 75% of the results were posted by either you or "wxctintern"? ::) Just sayin'...

Well it took me over a month to find it, but here is WXCT 990's new website:

http://www.radioconectate.com/

The site says they're broadcasting from 1355 Brentwood Road in Bayshore, New York. "Bayshore" and "New York" was what I was able to understand when I heard the "new" programming.

Now when I contacted Davidson Media Group they told me Pastor Selgado (Radio Cantico Nuevo) was still running the station. So he must be sub-leasing the station to Radio Conectate.

The station is once again running their full 2.5 gallon daytime signal at night. And interestingly enough when I drove by 440 Old Turnpike Road today there were 4 vehicles in the parking lot. I never saw that many vehicles in that lot before except when they held their Farewell Listener Breakfast back in April 2004. That's when there were dozens of cars crammed into the lot and on the back lawn. And 65-70 people were crammed into that building.
