Changes At Cool 92.9

There's going to be some changes on WBPM's Cool 92.9. The news at the top of the hour that you're heard during the afternoons that are local and national news except the news from Clear Channel are dropped except the news that you hear in mornings with Rick McCaffery. Mike Spiel's weather was also gone from 92.9, but you might hear it on other CC outlets. There was also one things, the liners are gone from 92.9 with Ziggy who does a horrible job during the sweepers and even the TOH stuff. Give me a break! Ziggy can also be heard on WCBS-FM's HD-2 station as well as on "Magic 100.9" up in Albany who does the sweepers. Is there any changes on 92.9?

Definately some changes coming down at cool soon. Anyone know when pamel takes over? I really think they should go rock. PDH blows and are ripe for the picking.

How about Rhythmic AC? That would be a great idea since the lost of WNEW's "Mix 102.7" in New York City last month, but I hope there is going to be a hole in a market for a classic dance station since the old WBPM's "Rhythm 94.3" when it was flipped to oldies in late 2001 as "Cool 94.3". I think Pamal needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

Sweety, Pamal doesn't have control of the station yet, unless I'm mistaken.

Like sand through the hour glass, so are the days of Cool 92.9...Cool's clock is ticking away...Pamal is on deck...I guess we'll see what happens. One thing is for sure, The Boomers will need to either get satellite radio or learn to use i-pods if they want their Oldies still.

Nah Nah Nah Nah,Nah Nah Nah Nah, hey hey hey Good-Bye! ;)

Good post, I hope I would listen to oldies on my iPod when I got my WCBS-FM's New York Top 500 Survey Playlist or the Top 1001 Songs Playlist. I will not listen to Cool 92.9. I have plenty of airchecks in my collection.

thanks for the welcome dude...i do enjoy this board. i hope i'll be able to raise the the level of discussion past PDH blows (which it does) and give some good insight.

I hear that Pamel takes over as early as next week. Format change is enevitable. I really think a station good rocker fits either between PDH and RRV or a "lite" rock on the top of PDH.

Steve's idea for some competition for 'PDH is a good idea. PDH is popular only because thats all there is in the HV; the personalities are in and out constantly. The only bright Spot is Robyn Taylor. Should be interesting to see what pamal does with 92.9; they aren't a flamethrower like PDH and weak to the south. Any inside info would be appreciated. I think an 80's/90's dance music station would go over well and compete with the listen-at-work Lites. :D

With the pre fire sale coming at Cheap channel and pamal taking over 92.9, '07 should be an interesting year for HV radio ;D

The times, they are a changin' :D
