All Access says that Tripp is gone from 94.1 The Buzz. Did he jump, or was he pushed? Curious that both 100 and 94.1 have night jobs open at the same time. Coincedence?

Tripp would sound D*** good on FM100. Just my .02.

They have posted the job. They are looking for a night person with Music Director stripes. His picture is still on the site. Probably waiting for Monday to remove.

Now, wouldn't THAT be a strange deja-vu moment. Tripp replaced me on da Buzz 4 years ago. LOL
______________

All I know is that the other morning an e-mail went out there that pretty simply said that Tripp was no longer employed by Entercom.
I also heard that it wasn't a friendly occurance.
I hate it, 'cause me and Tripp go waaaaaaay back!

Ummm, YEAHHHH, Hire Tripp, MMMKay?

I have been waiting for this to get posted. It seems he was pushed. Tripp, I know you read this, put me down as a reference! If you have the chance to hire him, DO SO WITHOUT HESITATION! Tripp worked very, very hard, and took a lot of totally unnecessary grief, in the last few months. I could write volumes about the irony, but I digress.

Tripp and I go way back as well, and it's an absolute crime, that he was dismissed, and Meep, if you saw that email, you also saw how little it said, after 8+ years of dedicated service. I have seen nicer emails regarding the dismissal of AE's, that were employed, for a couple of days. Didn't even include the standard, cut and paste, "We wish him well in future endeavors". He did, get the OFFICE SPACE dismissal.

"Research shows, firing on a friday, it's just easier that way..."

I didn't see it...just heard about it.
I am not surprised by much of anything I hear from there.

Woah!! Trip is such a cool guy, I can't imagine him rocking the boat needlessly.

He and I used to work together, believe it or not, at Target. I remember him getting the overnight Froggy job (still think "Swamp Daddy" would've been a great name).

Anyway...I hope he gets something new and better in the near future. FM 100 would be a great place for him to jump to, but will he have to wait out the no-compete?

Met him once...I was wrapping up a remote at Bill Heard...he was starting his. First and only impression...Tripp's a good cat. I hate it when bad things happen to good people.

Tripp--I know it sucks right now, but good things are coming...hang in there.

Re: Ummm, YEAHHHH, Hire Tripp, MMMKay?

I worked with Tripp at Froggy, too. He was my "go to" part timer. Anything I needed him to do, he would step up. AND he was the BEST Mr. Froggy EVER!

good luck Tripp!

Re: Ummm, YEAHHHH, Hire Tripp, MMMKay?

Nobody deserves the Office Space Treatment, ever.

Uh, FM 100? HIRE HIM!! Oh, the irony if that happens.

Sorry to hear about Tripp.....Seriously - Would anyone expect Entercom to fire someone in a decent respectful way? C'mon peeps this is the time of consolidation....surprised they spent the money on paper to send out a memo...they didn't use someone else's termination paper and just scratch out the first name and replace with Tripp's ? Im sure they will get a memo about that!

It always sucks to get fired, but I think you are being a little harsh. I don't know what happened to Trip, when I was there he was their go-getter. I would love to know what happened. I know when I as doing graves at the River I was let go. I was called into a meeting with Kay and Jerry and they had a nice check for me (with severance). Then they said if you want to work part-time, you can do that. I don't think very many people would take them up on that offer, but I did! So they treated me good at my firing, but maybe I'm giving them credit for something that Kay Manley should be getting credit for. She was the best, I did whatever she asked of me and she always had my back. You never had to wonder where you stood with Kay. She would always speak her mind. She got mad at me one time and waited three days to calm down before she let me have it. Is it a little warm in here?
______________

Trust me Mitch...that was all Kay. She must have gotten between you and the "Entercom" way.
I don't know what happened with Tripp, but I doubt very seriously that he did anything to really call for an abrupt dismissal.
And to be dismissed by that "Brad" dude must have been doubly excruciating.
There are already forces out there in the universe trying to contact Tripp about some opportunities. He'll be fine!

Hey Stinky Twizzlenuts! If you are checking the board then give me a call on my cell phone.

You have the number since you use it all the time for free tickets.

Seriously Tripp---call me on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon when you get a chance.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with the crack habit!

Matt, thanks for listing me before Maestro on your list of coworkers.

I would say that having to call myself by a Frog name on-air counts as a "Welcome To Hell I'm Your Host" experience.

I'm talking about having to call myself a frog...Not working at the station....Great people at that joint!
