I don't pray to hard. They wouldn't be looking for a MD if Charles had been fired. Laurenti's the current MD, I wonder what he's leaving JY for. Anyone know. Regardless best of luck to him.
 
Steven Strick just left the MD/APD position at WBCN to go to R&R....

In terms of Brangiforte vs Laurenti I wouldn't say Brang has the same "goods" but he's already there and was MD at AAF. It would make sense that he could move into the job. Airwork is kinda weak but co-hosting is a small part of it. In fact that job description doesn't really tell the full story considering you're on with Charles and if it were anyone else a babysitter wouldn't even be needed. I think he'll get it and it really is about time John left that slot.

WHJY has an immediate opening for a Music Director and Co-Host of Afternoon Drive. Candidates must have knowledge of Selector and have worked in a MD or PD capacity. Medium to major market on-air experience is also a must. The ability to work closely with talent, record label representatives and co workers is very important. You must be computer friendly and have the ability to operate equipment related to broadcast.

Who knows? I would hate to see Brangiforte with Charles. Brangiforte is a good jock who doesn't need a sidekick. Are they thinking of moving Quinn & Cantera to 3pm to 7pm?

Would HJY to BCN even be a good move?Providence is naturally a good one but I'm not sure about HJY to BCN.If it's true I wonder if there was some writing on the wall at HJY or just uncertainty about the future there for anyone who has worked there for quite a while.

Laurenti at WBOS?Why?I can't see him going as a deejay so hopefully it's PD or APD/MD.It's a good station but although they bill well they don't do well numbers-wise in Boston and there's little staff stability.This has to be a case of him bailing out while there's something available in Boston or a contract not being renewed.Too bad since he's really one of the best things about HJY but maybe it's time to stop playing second fiddle to Charles.
 
Agreed.. Laurenti is one of the hardest working jocks in the area, with his many duties @ HJY and pulling the weekend shifts at ZLX. I hope where ever he lands he is appreciated and given the chance to excel..

It makes me kinda wonder what's going on at HJY.. First, Doug left his APD/Night jock duties for full time production duties at the GhettoPlex, now Laurenti is rumored to be jumping ship.. What gives.. Scott Laudani has brought in a bunch of his own people over the past year and a half; (Jenn, Lauren, Quinn & Cantera), who's next?? Seems like there's a slow moving overhaul of the whole station..

As far as Charles is concerned... I thought Charles was best under the Weston then Joe Bevilacqua regimein the late 90’s, when the troll was doing traffic. Lately the PM show seems routine and stale.. Maybe Charles should move over to HJJ, let's get some new blood in the afternoon..

I wonder if there's a morale problem over at the Ghetto Plex??
