Changes at Jack

I've noticed some changes as of late last week at Jack. They've started to mix in currents into their playlist. Just a few moments ago, they played "Moved like Jagger" by Maroon 5, I've also heard them play "We Are Young" by Fun. as well as a couple others that aren't coming to mind. As of Tuesday, they dropped the listener recorded station ID at the top of the hour, it's now voiced by the "Jack Voice" I've been hoping they'd add newer songs for awhile.

on a tangent... That photo of Moose on his page isn't a photo-shopped job where originally he was doubly flipping off the camera?

Jack had an all one-hit-wonders day last Tuesday. I thought it was a bit unusual to have such a day on a weekday, but they played songs that I had not heard on the radio in quite a while. It was pretty cool! 8)

I'm all for mixing in the new stuff, especially considering 106 and 107 are mostly unlistenable. Unfortunately Jack is playing a party mix of "Payphone" by Maroon 5 right now. OK song, but party version? Not digging it and kind of odd to hear on Jack. I'm going to assume that was an accident.

Wiz Khalifa just did his number. Interesting to hear him on Jack, haha

As an aging (55 yrs old) Top 40 fan (It has a beat and you can dance to it) I usually like the "party mix" versions of the new songs better. I've tracked down five such versions of "Call Me Maybe". I miss the days when I could hear current Top 40 songs and 10-15 year old oldies on the same station.

If I like the song then the party mix is cool.

For the most part I really like what Jack is doing. Except when they play a song that one would hear 10 times a day on Classic Rock stations.
