CHANGES AT KLBJ-AM

The Todd and Don Show (Todd Jeffries and Don Pryor), currently a one-hour program on KLBJ-AM, weekdays from 10 AM to 11 AM, will soon go to two hours.

(The show might be split with the extra hour coming in the afternoon instead of following the current program. I don't know what other changes will be made to make way for the extra hour.)

Fred Cantu posted: KLBJ does have that odd hour slot between Limbaugh and Ward.

(Good call Fred.)

The new extra hour for the Todd and Don Show will be from 2 PM to 3 PM beginning January 3, 2013.

That hour had been occupied by Neal Boortz (The Neal Boortz Show). Neal also has the 7 PM to 9 PM slot daily.

Don Pryor called their new hour the "Rush Sandwich" because they are on the hour before Rush and the hour after Rush.

On January 3, 2013, KLBJ-AM will start The Glenn Beck Program from 7 PM to 9 PM daily.

That means both time slots formerly held by Neal Boortz have been replaced with other programs.

The following is from KLBJ-AM and confirms the previous posts:

Big New Sound In the New Year

January brings a new year and a new program lineup to Newsradio KLBJ. With the retirement of Neal Boortz, Todd and Don employed every conceivable method of lobbying to win the coveted 2pm to 3pm weekday timeslot. Starting January 3rd, you can enjoy a second big hour of Todd and Don's irreverent commentary on the day's big stories. Also on January 3rd, Glenn Beck makes his debut in the 7pm-9pm weeknight slot. Always thought provoking and compelling, Beck will quickly become 'appointment listening'.
