Buzz Casey Exits WKLS/WBZY
CLEAR CHANNEL Rocker WKLS/ATLANTA PD and sister Alternative WBZY OM BUZZ CASEY has tendered his resignation to pursue other opportunities. BUZZ will continue to help with some programming functions from home in the interim. Will this programming Phoenix rise up again somewhere west of ATLANTA?

And, who's got a hot hand on the HOTLANTA format wheel? For "sure", more moves are in the making, and we're not "owen" that to any false rumors, or "lite" speculation.

Lots of PD changes at KLS as of late.
 
New PD coming to 96 Rock, no surprise. no fun programming a station beaten two books in a row by the computer at the River.
Hints of changes coming to Lite at well soon. Could CC add Atlanta to the markets where it's placing Whoopi in morning drive?
And how long with Infinity put up w/Dave FM getting clobbered again?

Hey now, Marc Chase wants to make sure everyone knows it's Buzz's fault that he's an idiot too. As for being a hillbilly, well that's an act he plays all on his own.
 
Surely Randall Doomquist won't escape this latest round of scapegoating. His station's losses have been far worse than Buzz Casey's. Plus Randy has taken a much more proactive role in the collapse of WGST.

Difference is the "Hillbilly" still has a job with the company, something to do with morons protecting thier own.

My dealings with Jerry Del Core have indicated that he's on the ball, and I don't know Mike Wheeler.

Across the board drop in ratings, multimillion dollar losses in revenues, sales down35%. Okay, maybe they aren't idiots, just incompetent. My only point is a guy like Buzz Casey, who wasn't even given a year, takes the blame for the mistakes of others (see Marc Chase).

Sorry to offend fans of Jerry and Mike, we'll see how much San Antonio likes the job they've been doing.

I did not get the impression that Buzz was asked to leave either. His biggest contribution to the station was the hiring of Jennifer Reed, and there has not been nearly enough time for that gambit to pay off yet.

As far as the rest of the issues within CC Atlanta, Del Core and Wheeler walked into them all (okay, MOST of them). Slowly but surely they, and those above them, have begun to tackle issues within the building one by one. The most notable of which was Greevey and Chase being told "thanks for all you've done, now let someone else handle this."
