Changes at Kool Radio 96.1/990

Mike Micelli who had been doing mornings on Kool Radio since August 2017 is gone and replaced with by a guy named Brandon (no last name given). Mike Micelli's My Pillow ads are also gone. This is across all 3 Kool Radio affiliates. On the 96.1/990 side they have added local newscasts in morning. Anchored by Teresa Berry and Shawn Murphy from sister station Soft Rock 106.5 in the New London Market and "reporters" "Wendy London" (is she Amy Grey from Radio 104.1? If she's not, she sounds like her) and Melissa Engle.
 
Wish the lineup was the way the stations started: Leon Armstrong - Mornings, Lisa Sinclair - Middays, & Michael Maze, PM Drive. Wish they would bring back Lisa. "Brandon" sounds young, doesn't have the greatest Radio voice, but is upbeat & understandable, more than Micelli. My take on the Micelli departure: According to Ed Sabatino's Facebook page (you might remember him as ex Part-Time on 'DRC-FM & ex-'PLR PD) he says he is the VP/Programming for Full Power Radio. He probably had a meeting with Micelli, & the Italian law firm of Sabatino & Micelli had an issue & Big Ed gave Mike an "Apprentice" decision like Donald Trump did: "You're FIRED!" Bada Bing!
 
When Full Power Radio took over Kool Radio via LMA in November 2015 they had Larry Kratka on in the morning. Back then Kool Radio was based out of West Springfield, Mass at 1490-AM. He was gone in January 2016 when the sale to Full Power Radio closed.
