Precisely my point. Considering the desire some broadcast groups have for a certain age demographic (usually younger)---that's why I brought this up. An oldies format has a tendency to attract.......err....."more seasoned listeners as opposed to the younger demos?

The jingles and sweepers ARE high energy. But while the jingles stand very well on their own....the voiceover sweepers are A BIT MUCH! Kinda like those Dave & Wally car spots you see on TV!

YOU brought up something I completely missed, Shemp. Although if you take their slogan: "the best of the 80s, 90s and today" seriously...the music could include PRACTICALLY ANYTHING!
