changes at Q94

Wanye Coy is out. Wonder why he left. Ratings were down slightly. Hopefully Darrin Stone can turn this station around and bring in a good morning and night show for once.

Q's ratings are as high as they're going to get, realistically...they might add a point or two, but not much

Richmond's an urban town...if there was only one Urban station in town, I would not be suprised if it was #1 in 12+ and all the younger demos as well...

A CHR/Rhythmic might be a good move, but with two full-market FM urban stations? I just don't know...

Now on to the all important ratings:

Kiss is quite strong...
Oldies is taking a whoopin...
Wolf is pretty stable, esp. in 25+ men...
Everything else is pretty normal, I suppose

Re: changes at Q94 and ratings

Uhhhh,Dude,Mr.Coy RESIGNED on his own.I was told he made that decison himself on his own and the reasons were NOT related to radio OR the job he was doing. He missed him home area in the Midwest (I'm SURE he has a job waiting for him out there)The CC Brass were VERY VERY HAPPY with Mr.Coy and the job he was doing there. He brought the station out the ratings toilet by freshening up the station with better music, more consistant personalities and promotions, and a MUCH better morning show. The man did they job he was brought in to do,he fixed the station.Good Job Mr.Coy.

Re: changes at Q94 and ratings

encyclopedia, I don't care what your relationship with Wayne Coy is but Im not impressed with Q94. You obviously don't listen to the station. Have you heard Davis at night? What a snooze fest of 4 hours. And the morning show sucks.

> I agree with ya 100 percent Davis needs to go for sure, along with JR and bring in a fresh morning show. I would bring Back Jake Glenn put him on the afterenoons and let him host alot of the eveing events. As far as Wayne Coy goes, he was around 2 years to much

Re: changes at Q94 and ratings

I agree ranger, Jake Glenn was funny and a great night host. I miss the energy q94 had a few years ago. Davis should be on a lite ac station. Id have to say q94 is the worst sounding top 40 in the state as well as DC and NC. As for Jake Glenn, he wont be coming back though, I think hes a new night jock somewhere in Roanoke.
