Changes at QVC

Changes have been made at QVC.

Beauty IQ ceased live programming on March 13, 2019. (They were only live 20 hours/week 8PM-12AM Monday-Friday). On April 1, 2019 Beauty IQ became QVC 3 a 24 hour a day channel showing best of programming from QVC and QVC 2. I knew something was up with Beauty IQ as around holiday time they began airing best of programming that had nothing to do with beauty.

Also on the main QVC Channel the widely popular In The Kitchen with David Show has added a 3rd show. As of April 5th In The Kitchen with David adds a Friday Night Show every Friday 7PM-9PM. This is in addition to his Sunday Noon-3PM show and Wednesday Show that airs 8PM-10PM (Sometimes 7PM-9PM or 7PM-11PM).

David has also been given a non-food show called "Down Home with David" airing Thursdays 8PM-10PM on the main QVC channel.

Also in March 2019 QVC France was discontinued due to the network under performing.

If you think chord cutting is only hurting ESPN or MTV, here's where it may be having an effect on the cable-delivered shopping channels.

But QVC is also available over-the-air with most ION stations. WHPX-TV channel 26-5 in Hartford/New Haven, I do believe.

We're basically down to one home shopping company now, with QVC and HSN being co-owned and EVINE shrinking fast. I guess Jewlery TV still exists too.

I work for one of the shopping channels (not one of the ones mentioned above) and the older clientele seem to be hanging onto cable. we are available OTA on some subchannels around the country, and free on the website.

My mother was a huge fan of QVC in the 1980s and 1990s. If she were still alive, chances are she'd still have cable and still not have internet access.

HSN also on IONTV. Also other Shopping Channels to that S. dish,Spectrum picks up. Evine has Paula Dean,Bob Bowersox, sells Men's Watches and so on. HSN2 is best of HSN. QVC2 also shows repeats. QVC3 was going to be a Online Channel.
