Meantime - lots of unhappy souls at WGNA. Still number one, but at one of the lowest numbers in many many books.
They would be stupid changing formats after all these years!!

They need to forget about the competition and continue to do the BEST they can!!

Another format change is on the horizon. Their change to compete with B95 has bombed. They are re-formatting soon. Glen Stacey has been let go due to budget cuts and another full timer is leaving as well. I was asked not to mention who, so in respect I won't. You'll find out soon enough.

Glen has irons in the fire. mmmm..

Thoughts??

Any updates on this???

Yes, tomorrow is Trudy's last day. She's going to Utica. Wish her well...The ship is sinking at the Buzz..

Labor Day weekend is often a time for impending format changes so we'll see...

Two items in R&R (Radio and Records http://www.radioandrecords.com/RRWebSite/);

posted on August 26th;
The Budget Hansom Cab of Anguish has stopped by Regent's Albany, NY cluster, where it picked up Glen Stacey, PD/afternoon driver on Hot AC WBZZ (Buzz 105.7). Stacey, who isn't watching Tyra reruns all day because he's teaching at the New School of Radio and Television in Albany, can be reached at [email protected]. Meanwhile, Jake Thomas, who does afternoons on Country clustercousin WGNA, will take over care and feeding of The Buzz.

The urban metropolis of Utica, NY is rejoicing about the return of Trudy, who comes back to middays on Regent AC WLZW (Lite 98.7), replacing Greg McShea, who heads to Country clustercousin WFRG (Big Frog 104). A 10-year station vet, Trudy transferred to Albany, NY five years ago to seek her fame and fortune at Hot AC sister WBZZ (Buzz 105.7). To celebrate her homecoming, "a local theater" put her name up on the marquee welcoming her back.
