Changes at The Fish

Joe Cronauer is the new afternoon show host replacing Mark Rein, who is still with Salem at a soon-to-be-announced position.

As for Joe, he'll continue with WKYC as their morning features reporter. Glad to see him back on radio in a regular gig.

Good for Joe.

He's got the kind of personality that will fit in perfect at The Fish.

Gotta also mention his old partner Brian Fowler has stabilized things at WGAR as the AMD host with LeeAnn Sommers after a little tumult following Jim Mantel's firing.

Who can forget Tim Leary, LeeAnn's earlier co-host post-Mantel? Apparently a lot of people.

I wonder who else The Fish and Salem could hire in addition to Joe, Jim McIntyre and Mike Kessler (a.k.a. Mike Gallagher formerly of V107.3)?

Jim "Infoman" McIntyre is already in the building at Salem Cleveland, working as the morning news anchor at WHK 1420, and hosting a nightly public affairs show called "The 11th Hour" weeknights at 11.

Jim co-hosts the program with Tim Kelly, who's also been in Cleveland radio for years.

I did notice there are some Salem stations across the country airing Hannity. Could WHK pick his show up? It's not like it'll compete with WHLO in Akron for the audience.
