Changes at WACQ AM- Tallassee?

WACQ AM is owned by Westberg Broadcasting Montgomery and is allowing the former owner to broadcast on the 1130 frequency through the terms of a letter of agreement while they (the former owner) transition to another frequency.
WACQ has been returned to it's full licensed power of 25 kw and will remain that way during it's own transition. The transmitter and tower are still located on Taylor Road in Elmore County as they have from the beginning.
The new ownership, Westberg, is an experienced operator in addition to their media lending firm.
Westberg is conducting market due diligence and will announce plans for the continued operation of 1130 in the near future.
 
My new questions are now:

1. Will the new 1130 AM stay in Tallassee?
2. Will the new 580 AM relocate to Tallassee?
3. Which outfit will stay in the current location of 1130 AM?
4. Will Westburg build a new studio, if WACQ is allowed to stay at their present location?

Just curious.

P.S. Thanks for the updates Mr. Basshawk10. It also looks like that WZNJ Demopolis may stay Urban after all. Haven't heard and/or read anything about a pending format change yet. WXAL Demopolis is still not coming in too good here. I wonder what their new format will be, once they get everything in place?

Hey RDP, Thanks for your interest. A lot going on in the radio markets these days - we're studying the market place in order to find a "place" for WACQ 1130. For the time-being it will continue to operate as is with a shared arrangement with the former owner.

As for Demopolis, WXAL's problems are being solved with the purchase of a new transmitter, should be installed week of October 17.
WZNJ is urban for time being - again a market study is underway to determine a direction.

WIN98 will remain the Country Giant - what else do you do with 100KW"s - a lot of upgrades there and it will only get better.
 
#1 country and #2 urban is sort of a no brainer as far as having the most potential listeners, and that applies to just about anywhere in Alabama. ;)

basshawk, WBIL's calls are going to 1130 eventually, right? Or are they staying on 580?

There has been plenty of ridiculous blather posted here over the years, but this nonsense takes the cake. ::)
