Changes at WIBC?

I talked to someone in the Emmis building today. Sterling was let go yesterday. A real change of guard is going on over there. Edgar, Wheeler and now Sterling. I've not been a fan (no pun intended) of what they have done with either of those stations, but I hate to see anyone lose their gig in this environment. It should be interesting to see how this change will effect their product and approach.

Lisa Boyer now at Emmis. Former promotions at WFMS. Wholesale looting of the staff before they are killed figuratively/mentally/spiritually by Cumulus (known for being able to destroy any station no matter the heritage).

STILL HATE TO SEE PEOPLE GETTING CANNED.

And who wants to be PD at WIBC? Talk to Jed Duvall. Thankless job. And what will you do to make anyone happy?

Could be worse. You might be at Entercom or Radio Wan,

How are Emmis sales? Are any of their managers in trouble?

Looks like if you used to work for Susquehanna you're in at Emmis. If not, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

That migration is not a new phenomenon. There are a bunch of former Susquehanna folks at Emmis that came long before the new market manager. The cluster DOS and the WIBC GSM came directly from Shadeland Av before the sale to Cumulus.

Have found a new blog that Kent has posted to; talks briefly about leaving Emmis.

I said it before.

If you worked on Shadeland, then there is a good chance you will end up downtown.

Not much chance for anyone else to get a job at Emmis now that Morgan is the MM.

Hope that extends to Darren Tandy...I'd love to see him land an 8P-midnight "country lovin" type show on 97.1....assuming they can get rid of all the sports crap that would pre-empt him.
