Charlotte country listeners are seeing a notable programming shift at 96.9 The Kat. Sarah Lee is taking over mornings solo, while her on-air partner Graham Bunn is moving to middays, according to comments on the show’s Facebook page. When a listener asked if she was “going solo,” Sarah Lee confirmed the change and added that Graham is “still with us in middays.”
Bunn joined The Kat in April 2025 after the retirement of longtime morning host Paul Schadt, billed as a hometown hire—born and raised in the area, an App State Mountaineer, and deeply involved in community and philanthropic work. At the time, he said it felt “like coming home” and that he wanted to build on the foundation laid by Schadt and Sarah Lee.
The update means Sarah Lee now fronts mornings on her own, while Bunn shifts into middays to carve out his own lane. The talent isn’t going anywhere; the lineup is simply being reshaped at one of Charlotte’s most prominent country stations.
