Changes at WLW

All Access said:
CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO has named Talk WLW-A, Talk WKRC-A (55KRC), Sports WCKY-A (ESPN 1530), and Sports WSAI-A (FOX SPORTS 1360)/CINCINNATI PD and AM OM DARRYL PARKS as VP/News Talk Operations.... PARKS will relinquish his CINCINNATI duties and the company is actively searching for his successor.

For Parks, is this a move up, down or sideways? Who is the lucky person he's replacing, and were they part of the jolly annual November downsizing? Any chance Randy Michaels will return to the Big 1?

In the short run, yes. Long term? 50/50 IMHO. How many Cincy people went to Chicago thinking it was a move up?

Darryl is a great radio mind. He's handled the difficult position of being the glue between CC management and superstar talent quite well. If he relinquishes his weekend talk show Cincinnati radio will be the poorer. I've never worked directly with him but we've had some "radio interaction" and he's always been very professional. And who else could have turned a goofy Cincinnati bus driver into a mega-star? ;D Best wishes to a class act as he climbs the corporate ladder. Hey Sensible Don, hold that ladder steady for Brother Darryl, okay?
