Changes at WPPA

Brittany, the morning news reporter, panelist on "Step Up to the Mike" and host of Saturday oldies show has left to attend law school. Jay Matthews is stepping in. Has he been at other NEPA stations?

Yes I have, I started at WISL in Shamokin, moving to FBS in Berwick, then to Harrisburg/York with Susquehanna radio and Citadel. Been here at PBC radio since 2008

Great bloodline, Jay!

As a former Long Island boy who moved this way to stay 19 years ago, I find the quality of NE PA radio relatively as rich in heritage, creativity and enthusiasm as back when we used to hear WARM, WBAX, WAEB, WHLM, WCDL, et al back on Long Island. As much as the industry has gotten distilled, this region's radio always seems to've gone its own way. WISL and WFBS were frequent listenings when they were locally run, and they deserved their listenership (so did the former WMBT).

From a former Susquehanna Radio boy (WGBB Long Island) :

Spill a coffee!

And best to Counselor Brittany!
