As many of you know by now, Scripps is going to drop Ion Plus and Qubo by the end of this month. What we don't know is when their replacements will arrive. The Katz Networks channels currently are under contract with several other stations in the city. While Laff is already airing on one of its subchannels, we still don't know whether that means that it will leave WABC and WJLP starting in March or whether the contractual arrangements with those channels can't be broken for the time being. I am not keen on one network taking up space at three different stations. That is space that could be used for more interesting programming.
