Eli Polonsky said:I have also noticed that they are now occasionally using the liner "Boston's NPR Music Station", which sounds like WBUR's "Boston's NPR News Station". I saw the GM say in an article that they want WUMB to be "where WBUR's listeners go when they get tired of the news", or something to that effect.Peter Q. Slanted question
On WUMB's main page:
How many different FM or AM (not internet) radio stations do you listen to weekly?
1. 1 or less
2. 2
3. 3
4. 4
5. 5+
Results
1. 23
2. 37
3. 42
4. 18
5. 22
Now why would WUMB be motivated to shape the question in that manner? Is it not interested in knowing its listeners' internet station listening habits as well? Is it being an ostrich with its head in the sand?
Interesting that approximately 40% answered two or less, which ties to Eli's observation.
I took the survey and answered 5+ and invite you to view the calendar
