Changes coming for WPRO mornings? Or Not?

Matt and Tara 6-9
Buddy 9-12
Huckabee 12-3
Yorke 3-6

Depetro and Gobeil gone...

I'm crossing my fingers and toes, and hoping your prediction comes true....sure sounds better than the lineup now in place.

Only one person's opinion, of course....but....I was getting tired of Depetro. As for Gobeil...I agree with the article which contends that he never made a successful transition from TV to radio.

Seems like a great guy but just has a nerdy tone, as in overly professional.

Not trying to b mean, but I think sounding more 'regular guy' would help the audience relate more to him.

I can't see Matt doing the morning show, it's just not 'him'...Hummel and Tara would be interesting though.

York bores me. His topics, his guests, and him personally. When he goes on and on about sports or has on some hockey coach it's over, station changed or radio off altogether. Huckabee might be worth a shot 12-3 although I've never heard his show.

I thought everyone here said Matt did a great job on mornings a while back.Personaly I think Buddy should go.I cant said listening to him talk about the pensions in Providence when his hands were in it and is pronbably collecting one while complaining about how bad Ciciline left Providence in such a financial mess.

My money is on Klampkin for the AM show. Listen to him on Saturday AM and you'll find a personable host, good interviewer and real professional. He could carry the show on his own or pair him with Tara to draw the female listeners.

Hummel may have too big of a personality for the AM, like Depetro. Though he is a refreshing, energetic change when he subs.

York and Buddy should be shown the door. Their schtick is old, tired and not real entertaining.

Matt would be great for mornings. But on an FM station. Not on WPRO. The guy really deserves more than WPRO can offer him. I knew that a shakeup at that place was eventually going to happen. But this might be turning into a train wreck. The overnight show "Coast to Coast" was one of the best things on the station. Now it's gone. WPRO better have some damn good ideas up its sleeve. Otherwise their ratings book is going to be making close personal friends with WHJJ's book.

I'm wondering if it was CC decision to keep Coast to Coast in house and not Pro's.We will see in about 30 day's if WPRO ends up with another line-up shuffle as Huckabees show starts 4/2.Remember a replacement on Lite evenings has not happened yet either.

If CC did decide to keep Coast to Coast in house, can they really steal it away from a station that still wants it? I guess they can if a contract is up or something. It just seems to me that it would be better to keep it on a higher rated station.

It's a Cumulus move, they're dumping Coast to Coast off Cumulus stations across the country in favor of their in-house product. Coast to Coast is already back on WHJJ. Doesn't really matter about ratings, overnights don't count.

Actually in a PPM Universe, everything counts...and Arbitron does in fact rate overnights, or did when I was able to get into the numbers..

"Coast to Coast" is an acquired taste..I remember working in the midwest a few years ago..C to Cs offering on Christmas Eve was a best of where the discussion centered on Autistic Children actually being aliens sent to study humankind..

Brother!...Did you ever say a mouth-full!

As an avid listener to the WOR Network's now-defunct "Joey Reynolds Show"....I was devestated when WOR pulled the plug on Joey for "Coast to Coast".

With Joey gone, I started scanning the dials for something to go along with my occasional insomnia...and reluctantly settled on "Coast to Coast"...until something better came along.

Somewhere along the way..."Coast to Coast" slowly started growing on me. Don't get me wrong....I'm still waiting for that "something better" to come along, but until then......
