Turned on my radio while on lunch yesterday and was shocked to find WOWY is now on WNTJ 104.5/1490 in Johnstown in addition to 101.7. Good move since 101.7 braodcasts from Central City and has a very weak signal in the valleys of Johnstown. 92.1 seems to be the permanet home for Pop in Johnstown which is also a smart move. I'm curious to see if there are any changes in the Altoona market with Wowy and Pop to accomidate the Johnstown changes.

Let's hope they do this in State College too. CHR should NEVER be on AM or a translator.

‘CHR should never be on a translator’?

Tell that to a friend of mine who programmed one on a translator that ended up pulling shares away from the competition, a heritage full-market stick that’s been in the format since the 80s.

Speaking of your earlier comment, in your mind, what format(s) solely belong(s) on an AM/translator and why?
