Changes coming to South 107?

A Rome Web site--who's co-owner is a part-timer with Southern Broadcasting's Rome cluster--says 'big changes' are coming to
South 107 effective Monday. The promo--errr, news item--hints at new talent. The station already imports Moby in the Morning.
Any bets on R. Jones going north? Or maybe syndicating a la Moby?

I can tell you one thing is for sure that Rhubarb jones is not going to South 107,atleast not until April 1,2009. Besides if he does get back on the radio he will go somewhere where he can be heard all over Metro Atlanta. South's signal is not good outside of Marrietta.

Every time I go to Florida I can listen to South107 to the Hogansville exit on I-75 which is about 30 miles south of Atlanta and way south of Marietta. I have listened to it in NC, SC, TN and AL with a good signal depending on where you are in relation to the transmitter site and area mountains. A huge signal for 45KW @ 600'. (50KW ERP)

There are other signals that I have DXed for a great distance as well but I get South107 all over Atlanta. My fancy setup is a factory AM/FM 6CD changer but I will admit that all radios are NOT created equal because I was in a friends car the other day and he could hardly pick up anything clearly that was not in the Metro.

You can actually hear South 107 anywhere through your computer!

However, their stream wasn't working as of this morning.

Hmmm...

Mouth 107 is a very unique name... I wonder if David Paul will pop up on that station? He is in nearby Cartersville doing a talk show on WYXC-AM.
