Changes coming to WTOP-FM

https://radioinsight.com/headlines/...-sarah-beth-hensley-to-digital-news-director/

Hubbard Radio News 103.5 WTOP Washington DC has announced the addition of Craig Schwalb as Director of Content Integration and Operations and the promotion of Sarah Beth Hensley to Digital News Director.

Craig Schwalb most recently served as Program Director of Conservative Talk 770 WABC for five and a half years until exiting last July. Schwab joined WABC from Cumulus’ WPRO Providence in January 2014 and has also served as Program Director of 97.1 WKRK Detroit, 850 WRBZ Raleigh, 590 WFNS St. Louis as well as Senior Director of Talk Programming for SiriusXM. He also served as APD of 102.7 WNEW New York during its Hot Talk period and through the launch of the ill-fated “Blink 102.7” format.

Interesting title: Content integration. In some companies, that's a job that matches up sponsorship with specific features across platforms. Don't know if that's part of his job description.

It is interesting that, lacking a WTOP on AM, that the FM station has not filed to be, simply, WTOP.
Post-1500AM, the WTOP(AM) calls were on 820 in Frederick MD (now WWFD) from January 2006 to May 2007 when it was a WTOP-FM simulcast, and on co-owned 1050AM in suburban DC from September 2008 to June 2009, and again from February to June 2010, when that signal was between leased formats.

I guess they never got around to dropping the -FM suffix on 103.5 after 2010, or perhaps they're keeping their options open for possible future AM use of the calls.
