Changes for weather subchannels?

Fox has just announced a deal with accuweather to help them provide a weather channel on .2 for most of their O&O's. The Broadcasting & Cable article mentions that new york and la are not included since the ABC affiliates in those markets use accuweather on their main channel news programs. But the article does say Atlanta's WAGA is getting the weather channel but channel 11 uses accuweather for its WIZ channel. DOes this mean WXIA will lose accuweather and possibly the whole channel or will fox not launch the channel here.

Channel 11.2 does not "use" Accuweather, but just posting that on their on air sidebar.

No, that's the Accuweather network. You'll see Accuweather meterologists on there most of the time. Only during the local updates will you see 11 Alive weather personalities and radar.

Well a big F+ to the Fox 5 head honcho who passed on Me-TV and Antenna TV just to bring
a 3rd weather channel.....................do not pass go........do not accept emmy award.
