With all the changes going on these days here is what I would do:

92-7 - The Beat FM - Steve Harvey/Wendy Williams/Monique/Baisden/Keith Sweat - Urban AC Weekends

97-5 - Add a new dance show at night either Nine FM from Chicago or a local one with Pistol Pete

101-5 - Dump Jamz for The valleys original alternative The Zone - Mixture of 90's alternative and today with a splash of 80's. Get Big O and Dukes via D.C. for mornings and Chuck and Colin for The Afternoon Ritual

92-3 - Move Ankarlo to mornings, Beck up to late mornings, Kid in for middays

You do realize 92.7 is just a translator, right?

I don't get why they brand it as 92.7 when thats just a translator.. and the main station is 101.1............ maybe I'm old fashioned, but I don't beleive in branding as something you're really not....

You planning on buying a station and making these changes?

Because more people are listening to the station on the big-city translator than on the small-town full-powered stick. That may change after KNRJ moves closer to Phoenix, but if the Radio-Locator map is anywhere close, they'll still need 92.7 to reach the East Valley.

The "main station" is always the one in the larger city regardless of radiated power or license class.

I understand what you said, but I don't agree witht he practice... that's all.

They branded as just 92.7 Energy FM or something, right? Why not 92.7 and 101.1?

The 92.7 signal is incredibly weak now. They brand Energy as "Energy 92.7 and 101.1".

If those frequencies are picking up "The Beat" monicker with a former local CHR morning show, it may well not end up being Urban/Urban AC.

Nonetheless I'd guess it'll be something no-one on here has mentioned yet, maybe Spanish CHR or something.

And yes now would be a great time for the return of the Zone on 101.5. With PPM on the horizon, The Edge picked the wrong time to be KUPD-Lite.
