CHANGES IN CUMULUS' MUSIC DECISION MAKING....

This should really help stations like WPRO, KLAL, WSSX, etc. with some more diversified playlists (I hope)

I'm not sure they sould mess with Q100, though, since it's had the best book it's had in years, and this is now with a competitor

So Dickey will pick the music?

This might work. Does Dickey or someone in his office have a child in the target age group? Remember American Idol was based on a show one of the Murdoch girls watched in Europe.

Wow....

Every time you turn around, the Clampett brothers set a new standard of hubris-powered idiocy....Imagine, John Dickey picking the music for the former greatest CHRs in the nation....Unbelievable.

Jan Jeffries has forgotten more about picking hits than John Dickey will ever know.  Ever

The only thing that keeps these tragic clowns in business is the abject failure of anyone else to actually man-up, hire Broadcasters, and compete with them.

Without wishing any bad luck on anyone, part of me wishes that these posers would kick Jan out of the comfortable bank vault he's been growing complacent in for the last 2 decades....We might hear some real Top 40 Radio again.

Maybe....

The problem is, one major reason that these are "the former greatest CHRs in the nation" is...Jan Jeffries.

And don't think for a second that John Dickey will be picking records. John Kilgo will be, with the non-biased help of his pals at the labels. John Dickey will simply be making sure that the deal Kilgo cut was good enough.

Here's my question: Does picking records have anything to do with the music clocks? I think Jan Jeffries' music clocks are the issue, not the specific songs that fit the clocks.
