Bad, definitely bad. I've been in town for the past couple of days and "Bear" gives me the creeps. Have you heard his laugh? My buddy even said the guy was terrible, and he doesn't have a radio background. Where did they find this guy?
What I really want to know is this:
Why in the WORLD did I run into Morgan Mason from WYYD last night and she's been fired? WHAT?! My jaw dropped to the floor! I had just talked to her Monday and she said that she did fine in the ratings for the 3rd book in a row. If you ask me, CC is STUPID for letting her go. She's done an amazing job for me on voice overs and production and as far as her on air performance--she's the real deal.
I don't get it. Why did WYYD fire Lisa Lewis just 2 weeks ago, and then suddenly Morgan Mason as well? There haven't been ANY rumors of problems with the station or it's staff in quite some time. It makes NO SENSE. Maybe it's that I'm biased--but that station is headed for the gutter. They just lost a diamond.

I know that Bear is from Virginia Beach, VA. He was on WFOG when I lived on the coast for a while. I saw on AllAboutCountry.com that he has also worked in Miami and one of his first jobs was at WROV-AM back in the day.fireandashes said:

If I find out something about Morgan, I'll let you know. Yes, she was a good personality and heard she was good at production. I'll try to find out what went wrong.

You guys have to be kidding!! I met Morgan back at the St. Jude Seminar in Memphis earlier this year. Sweet girl. Not to mention she's amazing at production. Does anyone have her contact information? Her CC email comes back. Has anyone heard if she's been offered a job anywhere? Morgan's too good to be out on the beach for too long. She'll burn.

If anyone knows of any east coast openings, I'm all ears. I don't have a lot of money for a big move, nor do I want to get too far from my family. Yeah yeah, beggars can't be choosers, but I'm certainly gonna try.

Thank you so much 409!!! That means a lot! Honestly I didn't ever think to pop on here, and a friend said I was being talked about. ;D
You know, I'm bummed out to not be on YYD anymore, and it's been REALLY hard not to drive to the station every morning to do my shift. But I know that there must be bigger plans in the work and eventually I'll land on my feet. *fingers crossed anyways* LOL....
until then, you can find me at Wal-Mart and catching up on all the Lifetime made for TV movies. hahaha!
