Changes to KRLA's The Morning Answer?

What happened to Heidi Harris? It began as her talk show and now she is hardly on. Are changes coming? Is she leaving the station? She announced today that she'll be off the next two days and that nothing is wrong, but she'll explain soon. Her producer has been searching for a real estate agent in Las Vegas.

Not surprising. KRLA has never been able to make headway with any of the morning hosts or co-hosts. After a couple of years, someone new gets the shift.

I tuned in for about 20 minutes one morning and it was awful. Brian Whitman seemed like that normal one which says everything. It really is depressing how program director put on people who have absolutely no perceivable talent or consistent though on the air. In the short 20 minutes these idiots were contradicting themselves every 5 minutes. Do they not listen to what they just said.

Radio really has become the bastion for those kids who went to college with no major in mind and basically winged their way through and barely graduated.

I could not disagree with you all more!!!

It is a well done morning show and much better then listening to that garbage kabc puits on. I find all 3 of them especially brian very entertaining.

I am brians facebook friend and he is always says what is going on and there is no hint of a change on that station but we shall see. Brian is halairious. I dont agree with him politically but a talented man.

I'm a friend of Heidi's on her FaceBook page and she's been leaving messages like, "check back here for my next move" and "I'll have more on my next chapter, soon". Other friends have been writing nasty messages to the PD.

I do like Brian and he is the only saving grace of that show, but when you have one funny guy out of three that is not a good match. The other two really are dumb deadweights

Sampled KRLA mornings last week. Ugh. Special to Ms. Harris: I don't know how long you will be around, but my previous invitation to you to debate ANY U.S. political topic on your air is renewed. I am truly "left coast" in every way and can take on a debate with you which could have many benefits: Listeners, great radio, compelling talk radio (which your show along with those two "characters") does not describe your show today.

I wrote on this site when you first joined KRLA mornings (going solo) that I thought you might have a solid future there. These sidekicks who seem to want to dominate have altered my view.

So, I know you read this board because you accepted (also on this board) the same invitation to debate last year. How bout it? Ready for the great KRLA debate? Let me know on this board and I will leave my contact info with KRLA's reception desk.

You name the topic. One on one. On air. Equal time between us. No moderator. Ready?

Let me hear from you here and then you will hear from me at the station. -- PAUL

I was a fan on Heidi Harris when she was on the radio on KDWN, in Las Vegas. I found her show to be refreshing change from wall to wall politics or sports that is heard daily on Las Vegas radio. I was/still a fan of Alan Stock. Too bad, he had to tie himself up with the simulcast of the TV broadcast on Channel 14. His shows are stale and topics are repetitive. Don't get me wrong, I think he had more variety before. Perhaps Heidi can make it back to the local airwaves and shake things up again... Maybe FM 100.5 KXNT can give her a spot. She would appeal to the younger audience that they seem to be trying to cater to. It would be better than all the bartered real estate and financial repeat shows...

So Heidi Harris was "sick" all last week and again today. Why isn't KRLA giving listeners the "Answer" as to whether she is still a member of the morning juvenile set?

does seem kind of unprofessional

some of the vegas clusters are doing some changes maybe she will be back on one

Heidi's "sick" routine has been on and off for weeks. I hope she stays away altogether from the Morning Answer.

Heidi's frenetic way of talking is hard to take, plus she merely shadows what Ben says, and says better. Fill-in host Jennifer Horn is a much better fit, though just Brian and Ben are a great team.

Heidi's out at KRLA, per her Twitter post (no mention of whether she'll be on another station):

Yes, it's true, I have left LA radio. Heading back HOME to Vegas...finally! "LA's fine, but it ain't home". Jeremiah 29:11

Wish list: Let Heidi Harris take those two juvenile goof-balls with her to Nevada. And/or take the on-air leaders of the KABC MORNING MESS back with her, too.

Of the three fast-talkers, Heidi Harris was the best. Her show, when first started, had real possibilities had she put three cohesive sentences together in a row. And had slowed down her extraordinary fast-talking pace (incredible). She could have had a really decent show and done .. fairly well. Heck, she might have caught Doug and Ms. Mumbles/Giggles at the "legendary" talk station that doesn't like taking calls on the morning show (cannot understand; lamentable).

What is left mornings at "The Answer" is a mismatched pair of juveniles with a show that is third rate and does not belong in this market. No, Ben Shapiro, you are not the smartest guy in Los Angeles notwithstanding the verbal prancing you do - also speaking very quickly (likely a habit picked up from Ms. Harris - to whom I offer wishes of good luck).

So KABC will stay as it is: Awful. KRLA will stay the same, too. No "Answer" at KRLA.

Bad for talk radio in Los Angeles. It could be much better.

I don't know her being the best. I tuned in one morning after the night of the academy awards, (I guess Handel was on vacation) and they seemed to be talking all over each other. But what irritated me was the guy (not Brian Whitman) going on and on about how offended he was at the jewish jokes from Seth McFarlane. Then he proceeded to spend 15 minutes explaining how the liberal jews of hollywood were so lacking morals and any decency based on the movies that were being released these day. It was Brian Whitman who pointed out that he was doing the same thing as the host who he attacked.

I hate hosts who cannot retain a clear thought more than 10 minutes before contradicting themselves. This is something Tim Conway Jr and Bill Carroll excel at.

Heidi and the boys always did there show from the studios in glendale. I remember chic fi la appreciation day and heidi drove down to the chic fi la in hollywood while on the air.
