Absolutely. I had a discussion a few months ago on this
board with someone about tejano and supplied your assessment
as one of the reasons for the format's decline. All production
is now handled by a number of indies and that there isn't
a fusion of new talent or growing interest. It seemed like
yesterday that all the majors had a tejano a&r department.
How long before it becomes destined for satellite?

You also knew something was up when the city that calls Tejano
it's birthplace no longer hosts it's most coveted event - The
Tejano Music Awards. From the Alamo Dome, to the Kickapoo
Lucy Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass.
