Changing formats or changing sound/lean of a station.

How does management (pds/mds ect.) go about this? Also, if it's a lean of a station (like say a station becoming more rhythmic) does the md/pd get notified from corporate? This is something I'm curious about.

1. Get fired
2. File for unemployment

That's certainly not every time, but a format change is commonly associated with a change in PD.
