Channel 106.7

This past weekend, I've heard promos for Wink 104 on Channel 106.7. In particular, they mention the Lunchtime Rewind (playing all 80s and 90s). Just thought it was kind of interesting. Possibly trying to transition Channel listeners over to Wink before an upcoming change?

Just trying to transition all of the wink 103 and wink 104 listeners to WINK 106

No...they're not going to be moving the WINKS to 1067. That makes no sense. Gonna change 103.3 for the third time in less than six months?

A Cumulus talker on FM would kill their own WSBA, unless it would be a simulcast, which would probably also kill WSBA in the long run.

Hey, here's an idea: Move WSBA's talk lineup to FM, then bring back the Mighty 910 with an Oldies format, the old jingles, heavy reverb and everything. Wouldn't that be cool. Just a thought.

this old guy would love to hear the "mighty 910" again.. those pam jingles would still sound great if they still exist. "WSBA dial ninty onederfull. " They could even bring back "WSBA Land" and "Operation Snowflake"

Never say never seltzer. They could easily be blowing up the x and returning the rock to "FM 104". Since 106 covers both markets well, it's not out of the realm. If they are going to simulcast I-105, makes even more sense.

I too would listen to a rebirth of "The Mighty 910".....but I doubt that will ever happen. First of all....do you need jocks? Cumulus would never allow that to happen. Most of the former "Good Guys" are no longer among the living. There is another way that even Cumulus might consider. Bring back the oldies, heavy reverb, and the Pams jingles...but use Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel. Scott will customize it to some degree and Cumulus OWNS The True Oldies Channel....so it wouldn't cost them anything to do it. The only other problem...it would cut into WSOX's listenership, even though SOX is more 70's/80s.

Probably the biggest reason this scenario would never happen is companies like Cumulus are not real keen on paying music licensing fees for AM stations. One thing that would be possible is if the talk programming would move to one of the FM sticks, they could move the ESPN sports from 1440 to 910 so it can be heard. Then in turn
air Christian talk programming or spanish programming on 1440.

Perhaps they are doing this to get the Channel 1067 audience moved to the WINKS for when something new arrives on 1067.

Channel 106.7 has been sounding strange today. This morning, I heard a liner that said "hip hop, hair bands, and everything in between all Memorial Day Weekend long". Tonight, I heard the old Mix 106.7 top of the hour ID twice ("WMHX..Hershey, Harrisburg, York.... Harrisburg's Best Variety, Mix 106.7). Also, the segues in between songs/commercials/promos all have a pause. You'll hear the song completely fade out before another song is played. Just seems odd......

Re: Channel 106.7 and CC

OK, so how about 105.7 becomes a simulcast of I-105 (and a change of calls).
The X moves to 106.7
910 takes over ESPN from 1440
Newsradio 910 moves to 96.1
1440 becomes brokered or Spanish
1400 in Harrisburg becomes brokered or Spanish.

FM Talk around here wouldn't survive without Rush, which 96.1 could offer.
910 could throw a good ESPN AM signal into Harrisburg and Lancaster.
