Channel 106.7

Re: Channel 106.7 and CC

OK, so how about 105.7 becomes a simulcast of I-105 (and a change of calls).
The X moves to 106.7
910 takes over ESPN from 1440
Newsradio 910 moves to 96.1
1440 becomes brokered or Spanish
1400 in Harrisburg becomes brokered or Spanish.

FM Talk around here wouldn't survive without Rush, which 96.1 could offer.
910 could throw a good ESPN AM signal into Harrisburg and Lancaster.

The first two makes sense. WSOX is the market's only greatest hits station so no reason why it should change.
Still should be one station playing that stuff.

NO WAY would Clear Channel allow Rush on an FM, unless it was one of their own.

Anouncement just came across the radio as a lay here in an insomniac state. "York, Lancaster, Harrisburg, are you ready for something new, starting Friday at 1:06PM???"

as in this coming friday?
or wen it 1st came on?

My guess is that 106.7 will be country again on Friday. I'll miss Channel 106.7. So, let's see... they went to CoolPop in February '04, Mix 106.7 in June '05, Channel 106.7 in April '10, and now another format next week. Whatever format they choose, I hope it sticks. 106.7 is such a powerful signal; it's a shame that it doesn't have a solid performer on the frequency. We shall see what they unveil on Friday, 1/20 at 1:06pm!

Why Pat K is right when they should move the X to 1067. After years of failure since switching from Z 107 if I were Cumulus I'd put a proven winner there. A 105.1 and 105.7 simulcast makes sense. But my name isn't Dickey so what do I know?

Then again, why would anyone want their name to be Dickey? Imagine the taunts on the playground and in gym class. A tramatic upbringing shaped them into the ruthless people they are today. Ok...I just heard one of the teases. It mentions a new station starting this Friday for Harrisburg and York. No mention of Lancaster...just Harrisburg and York. The "BIG I" is gonna get bigger. WINK 104 targets Harrisburg...and WINK 103 targets York and Lancaster. I-105 targets Lancaster/Reading and 106.7 will target York and Harrisburg. There's a reason why they are not mentioning Lancaster. This has been my guess...and I'm stickin' to it!

I have the sneaking suspicion this will result in less variety on the airwaves. It's going to be a shame if 106.7 becomes just a simulcast of I-105.

Last song on Channel? Maybe "Bye Bye Bye"-N'Sync or "Closing Time"-Semisonic?

Anyhow, I did want to mention that last week, I heard a liner on the X that said "we didn't have to change our frequency or change the size of our stick" (obviously referencing WTPA). So, if there were plans of moving to 106.7, it would seem odd that they would say that. It's almost like they are saying that they are a stable station and not going anywhere. Just an observation. My guess is the big I-106.7 on Friday.

Very good observation. If 1067 returns to country, they should bring back the Z 107 branding.

now wen i hear hells bells by ac/dc i will think of Channel 1067 :'(
maybe a hint of what is coming?

The big radio corps are killing radio. Decissions like changing 106.7 to a similcast of another country station is a pure example of why people are running away from radio to I-Pods, Sat... Example, two WINKS when the siginal from boths easily gets into each other's listening area?
