Channel 12 video

I get my TV service through Dish Network. All channels have beautiful video and outstanding audio. For the past two weeks or so, Channel 12's video has been terrible. It looks like video transferred to old film stock. Very grainy. Color's are harsh with very little contrast between foreground and backround images. Close-up shots look almost cartoonish with an even more extreme of harshness in the color. Boarders around objects in the closeup are almost non-existant, with the image fading into the backround. Has anyone else experienced this situation while viewing Channel 12? As I said in the beginning, all other channels through Dish Network are beautiful.

I have DirecTV and channel 12 (and the other stations) look fine. There may be a problem with the microwave from channel 12 to Dish's uplink. I've seen it happen occasionally with channel 39 and DirecTV. You might want to report the problem to Dish and channel 12 (channel 12 is responsible for getting the signal to the uplink). In the meantime, try watching channel 39 or channel 23.

Neither one is offered by Dish. But, I will take your advice. Thanks and Happy Holiday's.

Saund, don't know where you live....in Lansdale, it doesn't seem grainy. GRanted, maybe flatter than the other stations (not as crisp).

What show were you watching?
