Channel 27 The Bridge

Why did the Bridge disappear? It was, and now all we get is Paul all day and all night. Will it come back?

The bridge is not a full fledged channel. It is more like a specialty channel that is used for programming specials. When it has no special it is the bridge. McCartney's gig like all other specialty programming on the bridge will end and the bridge will be back only to be replaced again by some other custom programming. If you subscribe to Sirius weekly (see Sirius website) you will get all the information about all the upcoming programming on Sirius.

Sirius had always replaced the Bridge. I've been a subscriber since 2005 and they have continually replaced it with single artist channels.

I miss the bridge full time. The other channels are starting to sound the same as regular radio. I may leave XM and take my chances with radio.

Before you go , let them know you dont like what youre hearing - comparing it to terrestrial radio. Sirius/XM needs to get back to being something better than regular radio, even without ads, it may not be worth it if they are just a clone.

I only listen to channels 5,6,7,8,9,18,22,23,24,46,44,49, and 161. But it seems that 5 is getting better, 6 is tightening its playlist and several of the others seem to be narrowing it's playlist also. I haven't found one advantage to the listener since the merger. Rates are increasing, the promised "menu" choices never materialized, and it appears no one will hold their feet to the fire. I liked XM because of the music libraries that you don't hear on FM. That seems to be changing, although I have not read any statistics on the subject.
