Here's something interesting, and puzzling too.
Remember the old low-power Channel 5 in Clear Lake? Well, it fell by the wayside but may live again, sort of. Seems that channel 5 was granted to "The Tube" for their digital signal (KPXB-DT), broadcasting from Missouri City. The low-power station, which currently holds the call letters DKJIB-LP (the "D" means deleted) applied for Channel 29, but the application was dismissed back in November 2003; a subsequent engineering amendent was denied in December of last year. And in March of this year, the station filed for renewal of its license.
How can you renew the license of a station which isn't on the air, whose call letters have been deleted and has no active applications to return to the air? By the way, here's the applicant's name and address: FAR EASTERN TELECASTERS
1110 NASA ROAD ONE SUITE 501.
And here's the really interesting part: ROY HENDERSON OWNER
