Channel 3 Interruption

For a while last night they were feeding WSHM-LP over channel 3's main signal. Inside Edition Weekened Edition was on instead of Enterntainment Tonight at 7:30. Every Commerical Break the CBS TV 3 Springfield Logo popped up. Then at 7:50 the the screen flipped and Entertainment Tonight came on. I have a Walkman that gets TV Audio so that's how I know WSHM-LP was being broadcast over channel 3's main signal and not just the COX Feed. Then at 8PM COX lost the feed and COX Channel 2 was blanked out until 11PM. But my walkman told be Channel 3 was on with it's regular CBS Programming. 15 min Newscast produced at CPTV at 11PM. A few mins of commercials. Then the 15 min Newscast repeated at 11:20.

This morning they still couldn't broadcast from Broadcast House. CBS Programming was on at 7AM instead of the news. I don't know if they were running the raw CBS feed or if they were feeding WSHM-LP over Channel 3's main signal again. The kids programming CBS runs is so boring I didn't even attempt to watch to see if I could catch a CBS TV 3 Springfield logo.

This problem was apparently also affecting WUVN/18. They went off several times this morning. Channel 18's "offices" and master control facilities are located at 1 Consitution Plaza, which is next door to Channel 3.

Looks like they were back in their regualr studio tonight with John Holt doing his sports segment from the News Desk area.

I love Channel 3. They did a great job handling this situation. They probably are counting the days until they move in to Rocky Hill!
