With this whole big UPN/WB merger news all over the place, I haven't see any news on here (unless I missed it) regarding Channel 38. Does Channel 38 become the new CW network?

ummm isn't that TV?

Yes, it's TV. But the moderator of this board in the past has said he doesn't mind some occasional TV chatter since there is no north-east PA TV board. If that has changed, I will gladly delete the post or he is welcome to delete it.

In the meantime, I was just curious if 38 would become the CW network. Someone told me that some markets wouldn't get a CW network, even if they already had an existing UPN or WB.

I know I'm on the edge of my seat.

I'm glad that someone else is as concerned about this as I am. Have you been losing sleep over this too?

The new CW Network: It's a TV thing - y'all wouldn't understand

The only reason I could see why WSWB 38 wouldn't go with the CW would be if their owners don't want to affiliate with them. There is no OTA UPN affiliate and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre is the #54 TV market, large enough that I'm sure the network would want them as an affiliate, so I would think that WSWB is a shoo-in for CW affiliation. I've seen where smaller markets are getting the CW. I haven't heard any concerns for top-100 markets.

Since the Scranton-WB TV market includes almost all of NEPA, do the cable TV companies in the outlying communities in the market carry WSWB? And are there any OTA LPTV translators?<P ID="signature">______________
