Did anyone notice the abominal editing/breaks in the Ch 56/WHDH coverage of the Saint Patrick Day Breakfast?
One cut was really outrageous. The one culturally significant part was when they brought on the Irish Tenor named Emanuel Lawlor who looked like Paul Cellucci's twin brother. He was just had just finished singing one Irish song when he spoke and mentioned that he had studied opera in Italy. To prove it he started to sing Puccini's "Nessun Dorma". He got to not even the first eight bars when Ch. 56 cut out for a commercial. Once again Ansin's group shows it has no class.
They should have cut out the Tim Cahill's presentation instead. He is really humor impaired.
It would have been really funny if someone took a page from the old Carol Burnett Show and showed up wearing the drapes like a gown with the curtain rod still attached. Burnett did that in a sent up of Scarlet O'Hara in Gone With The Wind. After the war, Scarlet had nothing to wear to a ball and Burnett/O'Hara took the drapes off the wall and paraded down that long staircase as if she were in a designer gown. The best line of course was when Burnett said, "Oh, this is just something I found hanging around the house.
